Anne Brummel (former Elphaba, former s/b Elphaba – 2nd Ntl. Tour; former ensemble, u/s Elphaba – 2nd Ntl. Tour, Chicago) has been cast in Mason Street Warehouse Theatre’s upcoming production of CLOSER THAN EVER. This production is the Midwest premiere of the show and will run August 16-September 1.
CLOSER THAN EVER is a musical revue in two acts featuring music by David Shire and Richard Maltby, Jr. The revue contains no dialogue and has been described by Maltby and Shire as a “bookless book musical.” CLOSER THAN EVER is described by Mason Street Warehouse Theatre as “a fresh, cheeky, thought-provoking musical. A talented cast of four shares poignant musical vignettes about the things that keep us laughing and crying: love, youth, lunch time trysts, parents, cellulite, family, getting winded when working out, and the challenges of growing up and older.”
Mason Street Warehouse Theatre is a part of Saugatuck Center for the Arts and is located in Saugatuck, Michigan. Tickets are $29-42 and performances are Tuesday-Saturday at 8 PM, Sunday at 7 PM. The final performance on September 1 will be at 2 PM.
