“Wicked” to Close in Sydney on September 12
3According to the official “Wicked” in Australia twitter, the Sydney production of the show will close on September 12, 2010, after playing for just over a year. It is unknown whether or not the production will transfer or tour. The cast currently stars Jemma Rix and Patrice Tipoki sharing the role of Elphaba and Lucy Durack as Glinda, who has played the role since the opening in Melbourne in July 2008.

4According to the official Facebook account of “Wicked” in Sydney, Patrice Tipoki (current s/b Elphaba – Sydney; former ensemble, u/s Elphaba – Melbourne) will be sharing the role of Elphaba with Jemma Rix (current Elphaba – Sydney; former s/b Elphaba – Sydney, Melbourne) as of May 25, 2010, replacing Pippa Grandison (current Elphaba – Sydney) in sharing the role. Congratulations to Ms. Tipoki!

Tim Campbell to Replace Rob Mills as Fiyero
4As we reported here, Rob Mills (Fiyero – Melbourne/Sydney) will be departing the Sydney production of “Wicked” on June 6. We have just learned that Tim Campbell will be his replacement via Campbell’s twitter. Congratulations to Mr. Campbell for this accomplishment!
Rob Mills Departs Sydney Production June 6
1Rob Mills (current Fiyero – Sydney; former Fiyero – Melbourne) will depart the Sydney production of “Wicked” on June 6. He is an original cast member of the Melbourne/Sydney company of “Wicked”. A replacement has not yet been announced.
