Ms. Ashford has been nominated for the categories of Favorite Featured Actress in a Musical and Favorite Funny Performance for her performance in KINKY BOOTS. Ms. Block has been nominated in the categories of Favorite Actress in a Musical and Favorite Diva Performance for her performance in THE MYSTERY OF EDWIN DROOD. Mr. Butz has been nominated for Favorite Actor in a Play for his performance in DEAD ACCOUNTS. Mr. Karl has been nominated alongside Jessie Mueller in the category of Favorite Onstage Pair for their performances in THE MYSTERY OF EDWIN DROOD. Ms. Verkaik has been nominated for Favorite Replacement for her performance in WICKED.
Voting closes on May 2 (EST) at 12PM and trophies will be handed out at a VIP ceremony on May 5.

Alex Brightman (former Boq – Broadway) has joined the ensemble of the upcoming musical BIG FISH, which stars the previously announced Norbert Leo Butz (Fiyero – Original Broadway Cast) as Edward Bloom. BIG FISH will have a pre-Broadway engagement in Chicago, Illinois at Oriental Theatre from April 2 – May 5, 2013. Tickets for the Chicago engagement go on sale February 4. The show begins previews on Broadway at the Neil Simon Theatre on September 5, 2013, which an opening night of October 6.

Norbert Leo Butz (Fiyero – Original Broadway Cast) will star as Edward Bloom in the pre-Broadway engagement of the musical BIG FISH in Chicago, Illinois in 2013. BIG FISH “centers on the charismatic Edward Bloom, whose impossible stories of his epic adventures frustrate his son Will. As Edward’s final chapter approaches, Will embarks on his own journey to find out who his father really is, unraveling the man from the myth, the truth from the tall tales.” The production will take place at Chicago’s Oriental Theatre from April 2 – May 5, 2013. In the first season of the television series SMASH, Norbert Leo Butz (Fiyero – Original Broadway Cast) made a cameo appearance. Additionally, his wife, Michelle Federer (Nessarose – Original Broadway Cast) made several guest appearances on the show. Annaleigh Ashford (former Glinda – Chicago, Broadway; former ensemble, u/s Glinda – 1NT) guest-starred in one episode. Manuel Herrera (Chistery – Original Broadway Cast; former ensemble – Broadway) and Katie Webber (former ensemble, u/s Nessarose – Broadway) appearance as dancers in several episodes. Megan Hilty (former Glinda – Los Angeles, 1NT, Broadway; former s/b Glinda – Broadway) had one of the starring roles and Phillip Spaeth (former Asst. Dance Captain, swing u/s Chistery – Los Angeles; former swing, u/s Chistery – San Francisco) had a recurring role.
Nobert Leo Butz (Fiyero – Original Broadway Cast) will co-host the Creative Arts TONY Awards along with actress Beth Leavel. The Creative Arts TONY Awards will not air, but will be acknowledged on the TONY broadcast tomorrow June, 10.
