Michelle Federer (Nessarose – Original Broadway Cast) will take part in a reading of the play IMAGINARY LOVE by Kait Kerrigan. Renee Armstrong (former ensemble Melbourne, Sydney), Laura Bell Bundy (s/b Glinda – Original Broadway Cast), and Zoë Rainey (former Nessarose – West End) have all performed as Amber is “Hairspray.” Richard H. Blake (Fiyero – Broadway; former Fiyero – 1st Ntl. Tour) and Aaron Tveit (former Fiyero - Broadway) have both performed as Link in HAIRSPRAY.
Several WICKED alumni will participate in the NEW YORK MUSICAL THEATRE FESTIVAL (NYMF), which runs from July 9-29, 2012. NYMF is an annual festival winch presents new musicals. Check out where you can see WICKED alumni!
Ben Vereen (former Wizard – Broadway, Chicago), will be the honorary chairman and host the opening night of NYMF on July 9.
Alex Brightman (former Boq – Broadway) will appear in the musical SIDEKICKS!
Maria Eberline (former ensemble, u/s Elphaba, Nessarose – 1st Nat’l Tour; former ensemble, u/s Elphaba – Broadway) will appear in the musical ZAPATA! THE MUSICAL.

In the first season of the television series SMASH, Norbert Leo Butz (Fiyero – Original Broadway Cast) made a cameo appearance. Additionally, his wife, Michelle Federer (Nessarose – Original Broadway Cast) made several guest appearances on the show. Annaleigh Ashford (former Glinda – Chicago, Broadway; former ensemble, u/s Glinda – 1NT) guest-starred in one episode. Manuel Herrera (Chistery – Original Broadway Cast; former ensemble – Broadway) and Katie Webber (former ensemble, u/s Nessarose – Broadway) appearance as dancers in several episodes. Megan Hilty (former Glinda – Los Angeles, 1NT, Broadway; former s/b Glinda – Broadway) had one of the starring roles and Phillip Spaeth (former Asst. Dance Captain, swing u/s Chistery – Los Angeles; former swing, u/s Chistery – San Francisco) had a recurring role.
Five “Wicked” alumni will be featured in the next edition of “If It Only Even Runs A Minute,” a series that offers rare songs and behind-the-scenes tales from musicals that may have not been fully appreciated when they opened. The event will be presented on June 17, 2012 at 7 PM and 10 PM at Le Poisson Rouge in New York City. This event is only open to those 18 years of age or older.
The 7 PM concert will feature Etai BenShlomo (Boq – Broadway; former Boq – 1st Ntl. Tour, San Francisco), Michelle Federer (original Nessarose – Broadway, Pre-Broadway), and Lindsay K. Northen (ensemble, u/s Glinda – Broadway). The 10 PM concert will feature Colin Hanlon (former Fiyero – 1st Ntl. Tour) and Donna Vivino (s/b Elphaba – Broadway; former Elphaba, former s/b Elphaba – 1st Ntl. Tour).

Felicia Ricci (former Elphaba s/b, ensemble u/s Elphaba – San Francisco) performed in “The Jerusalem Syndrome” twice, once with Chandra Lee Schwartz (Glinda – Broadway; former Glinda – 1 Ntl.) and once with Julie Reiber (former s/b Elphaba – Broadway, Los Angeles).
Michelle Federer (original Nessarose – pre-Broadway, Broadway) guest starred on “Smash” as Monica Swift.
Megan Sikora (former ensemble & u/s Glinda – Broadway, Chicago; former u/s Nessarose – Broadway) and Megan Hilty (former Glinda – Los Angeles, 1 Ntl. Broadway; former s/b Glinda – Broadway) performed together in “Gentlemen Prefer Blondes.”

Stephanie J. Block (former Elphaba – 1NT, Broadway; former u/s Elphaba – San Francisco tryout) is married to fellow Wicked alumnus Sebastian Arcelus (former Fiyero – 1NT, Broadway); the two met after starring together in the show and married in October 2007. They are not the only Wicked couples – Deedee Magno Hall (former Nessarose – 1NT, San Francisco) and Cliffton Hall (former Fiyero – 1NT, San Francisco) are married and have a son together, and Idina Menzel’s (former Elphaba – Broadway, West End) husband Taye Diggs joined the show briefly in early 2004 as Fiyero when Norbert Leo Butz (former Fiyero – Broadway, and funnily enough the husband of original Broadway Nessarose, Michelle Federer) became injured.
Emily Tierney (former u/s Nessarose – West End) was at one point considered as a Glinda cover in “Wicked” but was deemed to be too tall – however she is now starring in this role in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s new West End production of “The Wizard of Oz”!
Willemijn Verkaik (former Elphaba – Stuttgart, Oberhausen) does not speak German as her first language; she is originally from the Netherlands and worked on the script with a voice coach in order to perfect her dialect for the German production of “Wicked”.
Katie Rose Clarke has replaced Erin Mackey as Glinda (Erin left on 01/10, Katie played her first on 01/14; standby for Glinda Laura Woyasz played the three shows between those dates).
Jenny Fellner has replaced Michelle Federer as Glinda (01/12/2010).
Brian Munn has replaced Anthony Galde as Swing; u/s Fiyero, Wizard, Dr. Dllamond, Witch’s Father/Ozian Official.
Heather Spore (Ensemble; u/s for Glinda) is currently on leave from the show due to shoulder injury.
Betsy Struxness has joined the show in the ensemble. In Chicago and San Francisco, she understudied Nessarose, but that is not the case as of now according to the website.
Cristy Candler (former Nessarose) is currently with the cast as Witch’s Mother; she is printed in the playbills and is performing but is not listed on the website; it is unclear how permanent this is.
Katie Rose Clarke (former 1NT Glinda) will be taking over the role of Glinda on Broadway on Tuesday, January 12th. This is confirmed by broadwayworld.com. On the same date, the role of Nessarose will be taken over by “Wicked” newcomer Jenny Fellner (previously played Linda in “Pal Joey” and Sophie in “Mamma Mia!” on Broadway). This puts Erin Mackey and Michelle Federer’s last performances as Glinda and Nessarose, respectively on January 10.
