Megan Hilty (former Glinda – Los Angeles, 1st Ntl. Tour, Broadway; former s/b Glinda – Broadway ) will participate in an industry-only reading of the Cole Porter musical CAN-CAN, in the role of Pistache. Actor Aaron Lazar will also star. The reading takes place July 15-17 in New York City. CAN-CAN “is the story of Pistache, the only café owner in Paris who dares to feature the scandalous and illicit Can-Can dance.” There are plans to bring a revival of CAN-CAN to Broadway in 2014.

Megan Hilty (former Glinda – Los Angeles, 1st Ntl. Tour, Broadway; former s/b Glinda – Broadway) will give a one day master class as part of the Broadway Artists Alliance program. From the website’s about page: “Broadway Artists Alliance was founded with the goal of providing professional- level training to talented young musical theatre performers”. Ms. Hilty will give a Smash themed master class (Smash is the television series she currently stars in) on June 23 from 10:00am to 5:30pm at Ripley Grier Studios in Midtown Manhattan. The class is for students aged 10-21, although younger students may be considered at the discretion of the Program Director. The fee for the one day master class is $250 and the class is limited to eighteen people, so apply now.
