The show had its first reading in 2010 and is based on the film Soap Dish, which “tells a backstage story of the cast and crew of a popular fictional television soap opera.”

Coincidentally, Ms. Harris is now an understudy for the role of Eva Peron, one of Argentina’s most influential women in history, in the current Broadway production of EVITA.

Kristin Chenoweth (Glinda – Original Broadway Cast) has landed a recurring role on the television series THE GOOD WIFE. Among her television credits are THE WEST WING, PUSHING DAISIES, and GCB. The new season of THE GOOD WIFE begins in September.
In June 2011, a reading was held for “Rise,” a new musical about the life of Tammy Faye Bakker. Kristin Chenoweth (Glinda – Original Broadway Cast) performed the role of “Tammy” at the reading. Marc Platt (producer) is set to produce “Rise” at future readings. The musical is said to have a score by Henry Krieger and a book by Anthony Crowley.
