Garrison & Wartella Cast in TUCK EVERLASTING
0David Garrison (former Wizard – San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, Broadway, 1st Ntl. Tour) and Michael Wartella (Boq – 2nd Ntl. Tour) have been cast in the upcoming world premiere of the Broadway-aimed musical, TUCK EVERLASTING. Based on a popular 1975 children’s novel of the same name, this musical features a score by Chris Miller and Nathan Tysen, and a book by Claudia Shear.
Mr. Garrison will play The Man in the Yellow Suit and Mr. Wartella will play Hugo. TUCK EVERLASTING will play Boston’s Colonial Theatre from July 28-August 28. An on-sale date for single tickets has not yet been announced.
David Ayers Appearing in SILENCE! THE MUSICAL
0David Ayers (former Fiyero – Broadway) is currently appearing in SILENCE! THE MUSICAL, which he joined August 8. Mr. Ayers is playing the role of Buffalo Bill. The cast also includes fellow WICKED alums David Garrison (former Wizard – San Francisco, Los Angeles, Broadway, Chicago, 1NT) as Hannibal Lecter and Randy Harrison (former Boq – Broadway) as Dr. Chilton. Youmans and Cuervo to appear in “Titanic” staging
0Two “Wicked” alumni who were featured in original Broadway cast of the musical “Titanic” will appear in a production of the show at the Hanger Theatre in Ithaca, NY from July 12-28, 2012. Alma Cuervo (former Madame Morrible – 2nd National Tour; former Madame Morrible – 1st National Tour) will play the role of Ida Strauss, which she originated on Broadway. William Youmans (former Dr. Dillamond – Chicago; original Dr. Dillamond – Broadway) will play J. Bruce Ismay, a role which he understudied on Broadway, but was originated by David Garrison (former Wizard – San Francisco, Los Angeles, Broadway, Chicago, 1st Ntl. Tour) on Broadway.
Other “Wicked” alumni who appeared in the original cast, but will not be featured in the upcoming production are Martin Moran (former Dr. Dillamond – 2nd Ntl. Tour), Jody Gelb (former Madame Morrible – 2nd Ntl. Tour, San Francisco), Melissa Bell Chait (former ensemble, u/s Glinda – Broadway, Pre-Broadway). Sean McCourt (former Dr. Dillamond – Broadway, original Witch’s Father, u/s Dr. Dillamond, u/s Wizard – Broadway, Pre-Broadway), Matthew Stocke (former Witch’s Father, u/s Wizard, Dr. Dillamond – Los Angeles), and Stacie Morgain Lewis (former Glinda – Chicago; former Glinda s/b – Broadway; former ensemble, u/s Glinda, u/s Nessarose – Broadway) all later joined the production as replacements.

Garrison & Funke Appearing in SILENCE! The Musical, Off-Broadway

David Garrison (former Wizard – San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, Broadway, 1NT) and Annie Funke (former Ensemble; u/s Madame Morrible – San Francisco) are currently performing the Off-Broadway musical, SILENCE! The Musical. Mr. Garrison is performing the role of “Hannibal Lecter” and Ms. Funke is performing the role of “Catherine Martin”. 0Several former and current Wicked cast members were in the original Broadway cast of the musical Titanic: Alma Cuervo (former Morrible — 1NT), David Garrison (former Wizard — 1NT, Broadway, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco) Jody Gelb (Morrible — 2NT; former Morrible — San Francisco), Martin Moran (Dillamond — 2NT), William Youmans (former Dillamond – Broadway, Chicago), and Melissa Bell Chait (former ensemble, u/s Glinda — Broadway). Additionally, Sean McCourt (former Dillamond — Broadway) join the show later in its run.
Tiffany Haas (former ensemble, u/s Glinda — 2NT; former swing, u/s Nessarose — Broadway) competed in the Miss America pageant in 2002m representing Ohio.
The two women who have been the principle Glinda on the second national tour, Helene Yorke (former Glinda — 2NT) and Natalie Daradich (Glinda — 2NT; former s/b Glinda – Los Angeles, San Francisco; former swing, u/s Glinda, u/s Nessarose – Los Angeles), are both Canadian.

David Garrison (former Wizard – San Francisco, Los Angeles, Broadway, 1NT) is best known to television audiences for his role as Steve Rhoades on the series “Married…with Children”.
Rachel Potter (former ensemble, u/s Glinda – 2NT), Libby Servais (ensemble, u/s Glinda – Broadway, former s/b Glinda – San Francisco; former ensemble, u/s Glinda – 2NT ), and Lauren Ashley Zakrin (ensemble, u/s Glinda – 1NT), all appeared on the MTV (Musical Television) reality series “Legally Blonde the Musical: The Search for Elle Woods”.

Tom McGowan to Join San Francisco Cast of "Wicked"
0According to David de Vries’ (Dr. Dillamond; 2nd National Tour; Chicago) blog, in December, Tom McGowan (The Wizard) will be leaving the 2nd National Touring Cast to join the San Francisco Cast of the show. He will be the third actor to play The Wizard in San Francisco, succeeding Lee Wilkof and David Garrison. No replacement for the 2nd National Tour has been announced as of now.
