0Both Shoshana Bean (former Elphaba – 1st Ntl. Tour, Broadway; former s/b Elphaba, u/s Nessarose – Broadway) and Alli Mauzey (former Glinda – Broadway, 1st Ntl. Tour, San Francisco; former s/b Glinda – Broadway) have played the role of Sydney in a production of IT’S A BIRD…IT’S A PLANE…IT’S SUPERMAN. Ms. Bean was in the 2007 Musicals in Mufti production and Ms. Mauzey was in the 2013 City Center Encores! production.
Clifton Davis (Dr. Dillamond – 1st Ntl. Tour) played the role of Reverend Reuben Gregory on the television series Amen, which also starred the late Sherman Hemsley.
Both Hayley Podschun (Glinda – 2nd Ntl. Tour) and Phillip Spaeth (former Asst. Dance Captain, swing u/s Chistery – Los Angeles; former swing, u/s Chistery – San Francisco; former Chistery – Broadway) appeared in the 2007 HAIRSPRAY film as part of the Corny Collins Council. Ms. Podschun played the role of Tammy and Mr. Spaeth played the role of Fender.

Clifton Davis has returned to the role of Dr. Dillamond, replacing Timothy Britten Parker who was covering his absence.
West End
Louise Plowright has left the company, due to illness. Melissa Jacques and Jacqueline Hughes are temporarily sharing the role of Madame Morrible. Harriet Thorpe will rejoin the company next week.
Rachel Muldoon has joined the ensemble.

Jenn Gambatese and Curt Hansen To Join 1st National Tour

The company of the first North American tour of WICKED is thrilled to welcome Jenn Gambatese as Glinda on Tuesday, February 26 in Costa Mesa, CA and Curt Hansen as Fiyero on Wednesday, March 20 in Tucson, AZ.
Gambatese starred on Broadway as Jane in Tarzan and Natalie in ALL SHOOK UP. Other Broadway credits include HAIRSPRAY, IS HE DEAD?, A YEAR WITH FROG AND TOAD and FOOTLOOSE. She has been seen Off-Broadway in FIORELLO! and STAIRWAY TO PARADISE (Encores!) and THE SCHOOL FOR LIES (Classic Stage Company). Gambatese has been seen around the country in LIPS TOGETHER TEETH APART (Westport Country Playhouse), WE HAVE ALWAYS LIVED IN THE CASTLE (Yale Repertory Theatre) and ANNIE GET YOUR GUN and CAROUSEL (Goodspeed Musicals).
Hansen has been seen on Broadway in NEXT TO NORMAL (as well as the First National Tour) and HAIRSPRAY. TV credits include Nickelodeon’s Big Time Rush as Dak Zevon and The Good Wife. He has also been seen regionally in PARADE (Center Theatre Group), GIRLFRIEND (Actors Theatre of Louisville) and A SNOW WHITE CHRISTMAS (Lythgoe Family Productions). Gambatese and Hansen join a cast that includes Dee Roscioli as Elphaba, Kim Zimmer as Madame Morrible and Tom McGowan as The Wizard. The company also features Justin Brill (Boq), Clifton Davis (Dr. Dillamond), Demaree Hill (Nessarose) and Laurel Harris (Standby for Elphaba) with Dina Bennett, Lauren Boyd, Kyle Brown, Antonette Cohen, Rick Desloge, Timothy A. Fitz-Gerald, Napoleon W. 0Jane Brockman (Midwife, u/s Madame Morrible – 2NT) played “Glinda” in Northern Stage’s production of THE WIZARD OF OZ.
Clifton Davis (Dr. Dillamond – 1NT) wrote several hits for The Jackson 5 including ”Never Can Say Goodbye” and “Lookin’ Through the Windows”.
Carmen Cusack (former Elphaba – 1NT; former s/b Elphaba – Chicago, Melbourne) and Jeanna de Waal (upcoming Glinda – 2NT) both starred in the Off-Broadway revival of CARRIE. Ms. Cusack played the role of “Miss Gardner” and Ms. de Waal played the role of “Chris Hargensen”.

2nd National Tour
Bridie Carroll has temporarily replaced Erin Wilson in the ensemble and as an understudy for Madame Morrible. Erin Wilson is expected to return to the company on August 21, 2012.
Dominic Giudici has replaced Jeremy Duvall as a Dance Captain and as a swing and understudy for Chistery. KJ Hippensteel takes over Mr. Duvall’s position as understudy for the Witch’s Father.

Michael Nieuwehuyze has replaced Martijn Vogel in the ensemble and as an understudy for Boq.
Asian Tour
John O’Hara has replaced Nathan Carter as the Witch’s Father and understudy for The Wizard and Doctor Dillamond.
Maggie Kirkpatrick has returned to the role of Madame Morrible, replacing Anne Wood.
Nathan Carter has replaced Glen Hogstrom as Doctor Dillamond.
Glen Hogstrom has replaced Bert Newton as The Wizard.
Jennifer DiNoia has replaced Zoe Jarrett as the alternate/standby for Elphaba.
