Cast Update: Broadway Production
0Stephanie Torns has officially joined the Broadway Cast of “Wicked” as Ensemble; u/s Elphaba. She replaces temporary replacement Amanda Rose who replaced Chelsea Krombach. Ms. Torns comes from the 1st National Touring Company of the show.
Cast Update: Broadway, 2nd National Tour
0Broadway Production:
Chelsea Krombach (Ensemble; u/s for Elphaba) has left the cast and been replaced by Amanda Rose (previously Nessarose in the 1st National Tour and a Swing & u/s Nessarose on Broadway). Amanda is not listed as understudying Elphaba; Stephanie Torns of the 1st National Touring Cast will be joining the show in February, thus we are assuming Amanda’s joining of the cast is temporary.
2nd National Tour:
Justin Wirick has replaced Nathan Peck in the ensemble of the 2nd National Tour. He will be a featured dancer in the show.
Stephanie Torns to join Broadway Cast of "Wicked"
1Stephanie Torns (current 1st National Tour Ensemble & u/s for Elphaba) will be joining the Broadway cast of “Wicked” in February. It is currently unclear whether this is a promotion to lead or standby or whether she is remaining in the ensemble, but the latter is more likely, because Chelsea Krombach (Ensemble & u/s Elphaba on Broadway) is departing the show to understudy Kristin Chenoweth (Glinda – original Broadway Cast) in “Promises, Promises”.
Congratulations to Stephanie! You can read an exclusive interview we conducted with her in December here!
