Chandra Lee Schwartz (former Glinda – Broadway, 1st Ntl. Tour) has been cast in the upcoming world-premiere production of SLEEPLESS IN SEATTLE – THE MUSICAL. Based on the hit film of the same name, the production will be presented by Pasadena Playhouse in California May 24-June 23, with an official opening on June 2. Ms. Schwartz will play the leading role of Annie.

Five WICKED Performers Set For BROADWAY BARKS

Five current and past performers in WICKED will take part in BROADWAY BARKS, which is “a star-studded dog and cat adoption event benefiting New York City animal shelters and adoption agencies”. The event takes place on July 14, 2012 in Shubert Alley in New York City, New York, beginning at 3:30pm. Celebrity presentations of pets from aniaml shelters begin at 5pm. The WICKED performers taking part are:

Michelle Federer (original Nessarose – pre-Broadway, Broadway) guest starred on “Smash” as Monica Swift.
Megan Sikora (former ensemble & u/s Glinda – Broadway, Chicago; former u/s Nessarose – Broadway) and Megan Hilty (former Glinda – Los Angeles, 1 Ntl. Broadway; former s/b Glinda – Broadway) performed together in “Gentlemen Prefer Blondes.”

0Kate Reinders (former Glinda – Chicago, Broadway) and Chandra Lee Schwartz (Glinda – Broadway; former Glinda – 1NT) were both in the 2003 Broadway revival of Gypsy. Ms. Reinders played Dainty June, and Ms. Schwartz played Agnes and understudied Dainty June.
Rondi Reed (former Morrible – Chicago, Broadway) currently has a recurring role on the tv show Mike and Molly.
John Rubinstein (former Wizard – Los Angeles) is the son of internationally renowned concert pianist Artur Rubinstein.
