“Wicked” Holds Special Encore on October 30, 2011

The Broadway company of “Wicked” will be performing a special encore to the “Wicked Day” performance of the show on Sunday, October 30, 2011. The company will be performing a song of the fans’ choice in a concert style following curtain call – and the performance will be streamed on Facebook for all to see!

“Wicked” to Perform at “Broadway in Bryant Park” on Thursday

This Thursday, the Broadway company of “Wicked” will be performing at Broadway in Bryant Park in New York City at 12:30 PM. In addition, the casts of “Rent”, “Death Takes a Holiday”, “Jersey Boys”, and “The Lion King” will be performing.

If past tradition holds true, Jennifer DiNoia (s/b Elphaba – Broadway; former s/b Elphaba, ensemble, u/s Elphaba, u/s Nessarose – Chicago) and Laura Woyasz (s/b Glinda – Broadway; former s/b Glinda – Los Angeles; former ensemble, u/s Glinda – 1st Ntl. Tour) will be performing “The Wizard and I”, “Popular”, and “For Good”, however, this is not confirmed. We’ll bring more coverage of the event as it becomes available.

2nd National “Wicked” Tour to Present “Wicked Rocks”

The 2nd National Touring production of “Wicked” will be presenting “Wicked Rocks”, a cabaret of music by the touring company, on Monday, March 21st at 7:30 PM at the Segerstrom Center’s Founders Hall. The event will also feature a silent auction and a live auction.

This event will benefit the AIDS Services Foundation Orange County (ASF) and Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS (BCEFA).

“Wicked” 1st National Touring Cast to Present “Our WICKED Romance”

The first national touring cast of “Wicked” will be performing a cabaret entitled “Our WICKED Romance” on Monday, February 14th at 8:00 PM. This is a one night only event in which the cast and crew will perform a fun assortment of jazz music and present items (such as posters, masks, backstage tours, and a walk-on role) for auction from “Wicked”.

This takes place on Monday, February 14th, 2011, at 8:00 PM at the Kimberly-Clark Theater in Appleton, Wisconsin.

Carla Stickler to Sing at Tree Lighting

Carla Stickler (ensemble, u/s for Elphaba – 1st National Tour) will be singing at the Arboretum Shops at South Barrington’s Tree Lighting Ceremony at 5:30 PM TODAY (Saturday, 12/04/2010). She will be performing “The Wizard and I”.

Event: Wicked London vs Chitty Charity Football Match

This Friday, the 27th August 2010, current and former members of the Wicked London cast will be participating in a charity football match against the Chitty Chitty Bang Bang tour in order to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children. The event will occur at Westway Sports Centre in London (nearest Tube station is Latimer Road, Hammersmith and City Line), with kick-off at 12:00pm. The event is free to enter, although there will be a donation bucket for the charity at the venue. Donations can also be made here.

The team will comprise of Lee Mead (Fiyero), Gareth Chart (ensemble, u/s The Wizard and Dr. Dillamond), Daniel Jones (ensemble), Tommy Sherlock (ensemble, u/s Fiyero and Dr. Dillamond), Niall Sheehy (swing, u/s Dr. Dillamond), Jack Wilcox (ensemble), Danny Mac (ensemble, u/s Boq), and David Stoller (former Dr. Dillamond, u/s The Wizard; former ensemble, u/s Dr. Dillamond and The Wizard).

Event: Felicia Ricci & Libby Servais to Perform at Apple Store

Tonight (July 13, 2010) at 6:30 PM, Felicia Ricci (s/b Elphaba – San Francisco; former ensemble, u/s Elphaba – San Francisco) and Libby Servais (s/b Glinda – San Francisco; former ensemble, u/s Elphaba – 2nd National Tour) will be performing at the Apple Store in Union Square. In addition, Jonathan Ritter (Swing; u/s Chistery – San Francisco) will be doing a “Behind the Emerald Curtain” presentation.

Event: Rachel Tucker to perform at Pride London

Rachel Tucker (current Elphaba – West End) will be singing Defying Gravity next Saturday, 3rd July, at Pride London. She will be performing at approximately 3.00pm on the main stage in Trafalgar Square. The event is, of course, completely free! More information about the event can be found here.

She will therefore not be performing at the Wicked matinee on this day; Nikki Davis Jones (London standby) will be performing as Elphaba in her place. Ms Tucker will, however, be returning for the evening show on that day.

Event: “Wicked” Cast Members to Perform at Taste of Chicago

Though “Wicked” has long since left Chicago, cast members from the show will be performing on June 28 at the annual “Taste of Chicago”. It is unknown who will be performing, but this article confirms that the show will be represented at the 6:00 PM concert.

Event: Rachel Tucker to perform at “West End Live”

Rachel Tucker (current Elphaba – West End) will be representing “Wicked” at West End Live this Saturday, performing a song from the show (probably The Wizard and I, although this is not confirmed). West End Live is a free yearly theatre event, occurring outdoors in Leicester Square from 11:00AM until 6:00PM on Saturday 19th June, and from 12pm until 6pm on Sunday 20th June. The vast majority of West End shows participate every year, and the full line up can be seen on the official website here.

It has been confirmed that Ms. Tucker will be performing at 11:30AM on the Saturday. The event is entirely free; however, as there are generally long queues to get in, it would be advisable to arrive early! Ms. Tucker will still be performing at the “Wicked” matinee that day as scheduled.
