Cast Update: Broadway, 1st National Tour
Broadway
Adam Grupper has replaced P.J. Benjamin as The Wizard.
Etai BenShlomo has returned to the role of Boq, replacing Taylor Trensch.
Amanda Rose has replaced Briana Yacavone as a swing and understudy for the Midwife and Nessarose.
1st National Tour
P.J. Benjamin has replaced Mark Jacoby as The Wizard.
Nicky Venditti has replaced Dominic Giudici as Chistery.
Cast Update: 2nd National Tour
Christine Dwyer has replaced Anne Brummel as Elphaba. Ms. Brummel has the distinction of having played the role of Elphaba the longest on the 2nd National Tour, having played the role from January 2011 until April 2012.
Billy Harrigan Tighe has replaced David Nathan Perlow as Fiyero. He, like Ms. Brummel, also has the distinction of having played the role of Fiyero the longest on the 2nd Ntl. Tour, having played the role from January 2011 to April 2012.
Nicole Parker and P.J. Benjamin to join “Wicked” 1st National Tour
- We are very pleased to announce that Nicole Parker (former Elphaba – Broadway) and P.J. Benjamin (former Wizard – Broadway, 1st Ntl. Tour) will join the 1st National Tour of “Wicked” in Denver, CO. Mr. Benjamin will join the company on May 8, replacing Mark Jacoby (Wizard – 1st Ntl. Tour) and Ms. Parker will join the company on May 18, replacing Mamie Parris (Elphaba – 1st Ntl. Tour). The role of Elphaba is expected to be performed by Carla Stickler (s/b Elphaba, u/s Nessarose – 1st Ntl. Tour; former ensemble, u/s Elphaba, u/s Nessarose – 1st Ntl. Tour) from May 15-17.

Cast Update: Asian Touring Production
The Asian Tour of “Wicked” closed in Singapore on Sunday and will next be moving on for a short run in Seoul, Korea. With that, the following cast changes will occur:
Maggie Kirkpatrick (former Madame Morrible – Australian Tour, Sydney, Melbourne) will be returning to the role of Madame Morrible, replacing Anne Wood (former Madame Morrible – Singapore).
Jennifer DiNoia (former s/b Elphaba – Broadway; former Elphaba s/b – Sydney, former Elphaba s/b Chicago, former swing, Elphaba u/s, Nessarose u/s – Chicago) will be replacing Zoe Jarrett (former s/b Elphaba – Singapore; former ensemble, u/s Elphaba, Morrible – Australian Tour, Sydney, Melbourne) as the standby for Elphaba.
Bert Newton (former Wizard – Singapore, Australian Tour, Sydney, Melbourne) will be departing the production, though a replacement has not yet been announced.
Prior to the closing in Singapore:
John James O’Hara replaced Nathan Carter in the ensemble as the Witch’s Father and understudy for The Wizard and Dr. Dillamond.
We will post about the replacement as The Wizard as soon as we are informed who it is.
“Wicked” will open in Korea next month for a limited engagement prior to a Korean language production later this year.
Adam Grupper Will Be Broadway’s New “Wizard”

Adam Grupper will join the Broadway cast of “Wicked” as The Wizard on April 24,  2012. Mr. Grupper will be replacing P.J. Benjamin (former Wizard – Broadway, former Wizard – 1st Ntl. Tour), who is set to return to the 1st National Tour in the current Denver, CO at a date to be announced. Mr. Grupper was most recently seen on Broadway as Mal Beineke in “The Addams Family.” Etai BenShlomo (Boq – Broadway, former Boq – 1st Ntl. Tour, former Boq – San Francisco) will also be returning to the production on the April 24 performance.
Jennifer DiNoia to join Asian Tour of Wicked
We are very pleased to announce that Jennifer DiNoia (former s/b Elphaba – Broadway; former Elphaba s/b – Sydney, former Elphaba s/b Chicago, former swing, Elphaba u/s, Nessarose u/s – Chicago) will be joining the Asian Tour company of WICKED as the standby for Elphaba, replacing Zoe Jarrett (s/b Elphaba – Asia Tour; former ensemble, Elphaba u/s, Madame Morrible u/s – Australian Tour, Sydney, Melbourne) in the Seoul, South Korea engagement on May 31, 2012.
Cast Update: Broadway Production
Michael de Vries has returned to the ensemble as The Witch’s Father and as understudy for The Wizard and Dr. Dillamond, replacing John Schiappa.
Eddie Pendergraft has returned to the ensemble and as understudy for Boq, replacing Zach Hanna.
Christine Dwyer & Billy Harrigan Tighe to Rejoin “Wicked” 2nd National Tour

We are thrilled to announce that Christine Dwyer & Billy Harrigan Tighe will be rejoining the 2nd National Tour of “Wicked” where they will perform as Elphaba and Fiyero, respectively. Ms. Dwyer was previously a standby and understudy for Elphaba on this tour, and Mr. Tighe was in the ensemble and understudied Fiyero.
During his break from “Wicked”, Mr. Tighe performed as Jean-Michel in the National Tour of “La Cage Aux Folles” to rave reviews across the country.
Anne Brummel & David Nathan Perlow, currently Elphaba and Fiyero on the tour, play their last performance on April 29, 2012 in North Charleston, South Carolina before Dwyer and Tighe take over in Durham, North Carolina.

Natalie Daradich has left the production. The 1st National Tour no longer has a standby for Glinda.
2nd National Tour
Jillian Kates has replaced Lisa Livesay in the ensemble and as an understudy for Glinda. Anna Eilinsfeld takes over Ms. Livesay’s position as understudy for Nessarose.
