Carla Stickler has replaced Vicki Noon in the ensemble and as the understudy for Elphaba.

Sean McCourt has replaced Michael DeVries as the Witch’s Father and understudy for The Wizard and Doctor Dillamond.

Lindsay Wood has replaced Robin Wilner in the ensemble and as an understudy for the Witch’s Mother and Midwife.

Amanda Rose has left the company as a swing.

Ben Susak has returned to the company as Chistery.

Nicky Venditti has replaced Ben Susak as Chistery.

Jenny Florkowski has replaced Brenda Hamilton as a swing and understudy for Nessarose and the Midwife.

2nd National Tour

Allison Leo has replaced Sterling Masters as a swing and Dance Captain, as well as an understudy for the Midwife and Witch’s Mother.

Derek Klena Will Join Broadway Company of WICKED

Derek Klena

Derek Klena (upcoming Fiyero – Broadway) will join the Broadway company of WICKED as Fiyero on May 28, replacing Kyle Dean Massey (Fiyero – Broadway; former Fiyero – 1st Ntl. Tour; former ensemble, u/s Fiyero – Broadway, 1st Ntl. Tour). Klena has performed in the off-Broadway productions of DOGFIGHT at Second Stage Theatre and CARRIE at MCC. As previously announced, Lindsay Mendez (upcoming Elphaba – Broadway) will also be joining the company on May 28. Klena and Mendez previously starred opposite each other in DOGFIGHT.

Lindsay Mendez To Join Broadway Production as Elphaba 5/28

Lindsay Mendez

Lindsay Mendez will join the Broadway production of WICKED as Elphaba on May 28. She will replace Willemijn Verkaik who departs on May 26.

Among Ms. Mendez’s credits are the 2011 Broadway revival of GODSPELL (composed by Stephen Schwartz), the 2007 Broadway revival of GREASE, EVERYDAY RAPTURE, THE MARVELOUS WONDERETTES, and DOGFIGHT. Ms. Mendez received both an Outer Critics Circle nomination and a Drama League nomination for her role as Rose Fenny in DOGFIGHT.

Jaime Rosenstein to Join First National Tour as Nessarose

Jaime Rosenstein

Jaime Rosentein will be joining the first national tour of WICKED on Tuesday, April 30, 2013, in the role of Nessarose, replacing Demaree Catherine Hill. Ms. Rosenstein has several credits with both the Guthrie Theatre and in the Brown/Trinity MFA program. Click here to see her list of credits.

Also on April 30, Alison Luff and John Davidson will be joining as Elphaba and The Wizard, respectively, as previously announced here.

Harriet Thorpe Will Return to West End Company of WICKED

Harriet Thorpe

Harriet Thorpe (former Madame Morrible – West End) will return to the West End company of WICKED as Madame Morrible, from April 22 to November 16, replacing Louise Plowright. Ms. Plowright has withdrawn from the role due to illness.

Ms. Thorpe most recently starred as Fraulein Kost in Rufus Norris’ acclaimed production of CABARET at the Savoy Theatre, a role that she previously played at the Lyric Theatre in 2006.

Louise Plowright has left the company, due to illness. Melissa Jacques and Jacqueline Hughes are temporarily sharing the role of Madame Morrible. Harriet Thorpe will rejoin the company next week.

Rachel Muldoon has joined the ensemble.
