Introducing Jonathan

We are pleased today to welcome Jonathan Cort as a new writer here at Innuendo & Outuendo. Many of you know him as an afficionado of the show who is very active on the fan pages on Facebook. He has regularly submitted articles to us for publication and we recently reached an agreement with him to join our staff. Please join us in welcoming Jonathan!

Jonathan (Writer) is an avid theatre fan and has seen Wicked 17 times between the Broadway production and both U.S. national tours. Some of his other favorite shows are Next to Normal, Billy Elliot, American Idiot, Hair, Ragtime, Rent, and In the Heights. He enjoys travel and studying foreign languages.

A New Head Shiztress Here At “Innuendo and Outuendo”

I apologize for the corny title; I couldn’t help myself!

As you may have noticed, most of the posts on this site lately have been authored by Christina, who has in the past been a co-editor, and we’ve had a running joke that she is the understudy for the head editor (me, Isaac). Due to my hectic schedule lately between college courses and teaching, she has effectively taken over the site, and as such, will now be considered the co-head editor, as she is just as involved in the decision making and posting as I am, if not more so.

I have been blessed during my time here to have delightful and insightful contributors, especially Christina – she joined in January 2010 after the blog opened in November 2009 and has been an integral part of the success of this blog, from general assistance to fantastic ideas – such as Nessa’s Niblets, something we began in January 2011 that was conceived by her.

Please join me in welcoming the fabulous Christina as a co-head editor on the site. We know that with your help, we can make this site continue to be as fantastic and reliable of a news source as possible!

Introducing Joy

We are thrilled to be introducing Joy to our staff here at “Innuendo & Outuendo”. Check out her bio below and be sure to give her a warm welcome!

Joy (writer) is a Brit born and bred, even though she’s based on the Isle of Man (she hopes this will change this year) and has seen Wicked 28 times (from London to New York to LA to both National Tours).  She enjoys most creative things such as scrapbooking (as she’s made two for past Wicked alumni) and card-making but also playing the keyboard/piano while also learning to play the Ukulele.

Ways to Get Involved With the Message Board

In case you haven’t seen, we’ve opened a new message board in conjunction with “Innuendo & Outuendo”. There is a link on the left sidebar!

We know that many of you have never participated in a message board before. Where to start? Good question; thanks for asking. Here are some ideas to get involved here at “Innuendo & Outuendo”

1. View New Posts: When you log in, look on the white bar at the top of the page. Towards the center-left, there is a button that says “View New Posts”. Click it and it will give you a list of all things that have been posted since your last visit. Read & respond to the threads that interest you!

2. “At this Performance”: When you see the show, post who is on in the “At this Performance…” thread. If you don’t have a smart phone and wish to be able to, send me a PM and I’ll provide my cell number, and you can text me who’s on and I’ll post it for you. Read these threads and comment on them! Say what you think of the people who are on, if you’ve gotten to see them.

3. Create New Threads: Got a question? A fun “Wicked” discussion in mind? Make a new thread and let us all chat about it.

4. Make Suggestions: Click here to access the “Suggestions” forum. If there’s something you’d like to see us do, tell us and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

Check out our Forum!

We have officially opened our forum here at Innuendo & Outuendo. It can be found by clicking here. We have lots of exciting features planned, including review incentives (check them out on the site) and performer interaction. We hope you’ll join us!

As of writing, we already have over seventy posts in several threads. So please don’t wait, join today!

Forum?

Hello everyone!

We’re currently scoping out the possibility of opening up a new “Wicked” forum in conjunction with our website. Are you interested? Please let us know via the contact page above, our Facebook page, or twitter (@wicked_blog). Thanks so much!

Welcome, Shira!

Today, we are excited to announce an addition to our writing staff. Shira will be joining Christina, Rachel, Jess, and myself as the staff for the site. She will be writing posts from time to time and generally helping out with the blog. Her biography is below. Please join me in giving Shira a warm welcome!

Shira (Writer) has been a theater fan since the first time she saw Wicked in 2005.  She has seen Wicked six times between the 1st National Tour and the Chicago production.  She is a fan of Broadway shows as well as smaller local productions.  Some of her other favorite shows include Jersey Boys, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, and Snapshots: A Musical Scrapbook.  She enjoys tap dancing, creative writing, and Model United Nations.

Merry Christmas!

The staff of Innuendo & Outuendo would like to wish each and every one of our readers a Merry Christmas!

No matter how you celebrate the holiday season, we hope everyone has a happy and restful day with family and friends!

Open for Applications: New Writer

We are looking for one more writer to add to our staff of Innuendo & Outuendo. Due to all four current staff becoming a bit busier, the need for a fifth writer is evident to us. If you are interested in the position, please e-mail us at editor@innuendoandoutuendo.com.

Duties would include: Helping write interview questions for “Wicked” Exclusive Interviews; assisting with finding facts for Nessa’s Niblets; assistance in compiling media from cities the tours visit; assisting in compiling cast updates. Other duties may occasionally arise as well.

Qualifications? Just a strong grasp of the English language, a positive and friendly personality, and a bit of spare time to devote to the blog.

Thanks for your consideration!

Fan Interviews Needed

We’re once again looking for some people to complete interviews who have not done so yet. Fan Interviews are completed, as the name would suggest, by fans who have seen the show with at least three different actresses performing as Elphaba and Glinda. If you are interested in completing an interview, please send an email to editor@innuendoandoutuendo.com or use the contact form at the top of the page.
