Christine Dwyer (former Elphaba, former s/b Elphaba, former ensemble, u/s Elphaba – 2nd Ntl. Tour) is one of the artists who will perform the songs of Douglas Lyons and Ethan Pakchar August 19 at the Cutting Room. The concert will be recorded for a live album.
The 8 PM concert promises an evening of songs that explore “the good, bad, and awkward roller coasters in human relationships.” The evening of music will be recorded for Lyons and Pakchar’s debut album to be titled #LOVE.
Lyons and Pakchar met while touring with THE BOOK OF MORMON. Lyons has appeared on Broadway in THE BOOK OF MORMON and toured with DREAMGIRLS and RENT. He will be part of the upcoming Broadway-bound production of BEAUTIFUL: THE CAROLE KING MUSICAL.
Pakchar is a New York City and Atlanta-based composer and guitarist. He has played for the Broadway productions of WICKED, THE BOOK OF MORMON and NEWSIES, Duncan Sheik’s Off-Broadway workshop of THE AENIED, the Detour New Music ensemble and the NYU Symphony Orchestra.
