Alma Cuervo (Madame Morrible – 1st Ntl. Tour; former Madame Morrible – 1st Ntl. Tour, 2nd Ntl. Tour) and Renee Lawless-Orsini (Midwife; u/s Madame Morrible – 1st Ntl. Tour) both played the role of Mrs. Potts in “Beauty and the Beast” on Broadway – Ms. Cuervo was the principal and Ms. Lawless-Orsini was the understudy. Now, Ms. Lawless-Orsini is understudying Ms. Cuervo as Madame Morrible on the “Wicked” 1st National Tour.

– Prior to performing in “Wicked”, Amanda Jane Cooper (Glinda – 1st Ntl. Tour) attended master classes taught by Stephen Schwartz and Megan Hilty (former Glinda – Los Angeles, 1st Ntl. Tour, Broadway; former s/b Glinda – Broadway).

Stefanie Brown (Nessarose – 1st Ntl. Tour; former ensemble, u/s Glinda, Nessarose – 1st Ntl. Tour) made her stage debut at age eight as Dorothy in “The Wizard of Oz.” Funnily enough, though she was a Glinda understudy on the 1st Ntl. Tour, she was not in the track that plays Dorothy in the melting scene (that is the other Glinda cover track, and it belonged at the time to Marissa Lupp (Swing – 1st Ntl. Tour; former ensemble, u/s Glinda – 1st Ntl. Tour).
