- Marcie Dodd (former Elphaba – San Francisco, 2NT, Broadway; Elphaba s/b – Los Angeles; former Nessarose – Los Angeles; former u/s Elphaba & Nessraose – 1NT) was an understudy for the role of Amber Von Tussle in “Hairspray” before joining “Wicked”.

- The original Los Angeles cast of “Wicked” featured two members of the original Chicago cast of the show – Courtney Corey (former ensemble; u/s Elphaba – Los Angeles, Chicago) & Dioni Michelle Collins (former ensemble, u/s Madame Morrible – Los Angeles, Chicago).

- At one point, Laura Bell Bundy (former s/b Glinda – Original Broadway Cast) was rumored to take over the role of Glinda from Kristin Chenoweth (former Glinda – Original Broadway Cast) so strongly that playbill.com actually erroneously reported that she would be.
